Usage:

Air Brake switches are three phases gang operated type and use in outdoor only. The application of this product is to seperate the transformer from the distribution network.

 

Standard:

Our GOAB switches are manufactured and tested as per IS 9921 (Part-4):1985, IS 9920, and IEC 62271-102, IEC-265.

 

Construction: 

Our tilting type AB switch have 2 pole/ 3 pole (As Per Customer Request) construction and suitable for vertical / horizontal mounting with manual operation mechanism.

Each pole consists of galvanised steel / FRP base, Polymeric post insulators, self aligning type contacts made of hard drawn electrolytic copper / brass with silver / tin plated.

All the parts are accordingly finished to ensure interchangeability of similar components.  Flexible tape is of EC grade, Silver / tin plated copper of appropriate size to complete current path from moving contact to fix contact. all ferrous parts are hot dip galvanised and non ferrous parts are heavily tin/silver plated to avoid corrosion.

Our AB switches consists of one operating rod, one phase coupling square rod and one operating handle.

 

 In-House Testing Facility:

We have complete inhouse testing facility for GOAB switches. We are doing all the below test on our GOAB Switches as per relevant test standards during and after manufacturing on daily basis.

  • Measurement of resistance of main circuit
  • Test to prove satisfactory operation
  • Dimensional Check
  • Galvanization test
  • Temperature Rise test

Type Test:

Our GOAB switches have been type tested by CPRI Bangalore as per IS 9921 (Part 4) : 1985 and IEC 62271 -102 respectively for the following tests.

  • High Voltage Dry and Wet Power Frequency Withstand Test
  • Lightning Impulse voltage withstand test
  • Short time and peak withstand current test set
  • Temperature rise test
  • contact resistance test
  • Mechanical Endurance test
